| Another 2-in-1 location, the Snake Lakes are located due west of Minden in a very
remote setting. While area lakes boast diverse angling opportunities, none are better than
those for small and largemouth bass. North Snake is a small, narrow lake which supports a
healthy population of both bass species, and while primarily a 'numbers' lake, guests
typically pull out at least a few 4 pounders during their stay. A navigable creek leads to Lower Snake Lake which is larger is size, but similar in prospects. Both lakes feature rocky, wooded shorelines with a few blowdowns dipping into the clear water. Also found are 'skinny' lily pad/spatterdock beds. The newly constructed 2-bedroom cabin sleeps up to 6 and is of course fully equipped with the latest propane appliances. Three aluminum boats with motors are on hand, plus an aluminum canoe positioned on a small rarely-explored lake immediately north of the main lake.
